The U.S. government has carried a bill that makes it even harder to list visa-free travel to US tourists in support of terrorist travel to Iraq, Syria and the country.
The U.S. House of Representatives recently voted 407-19 to support the 2015 Improvement Act of the Visa Waiver Program (WVP), a measure that the White House supports in the United States that visa-free is not required on high heels who have been able to walk through extremist attacks in Paris.
The bill, which also requires a Senate and White House review, will ban March 1, 2011 to Iraq and Syria, as well as Iran and Sudan who will travel to and from participating in visa-free programs.
This will also require the use of electronic passports for all participating countries and call on those countries to share more intelligence data on counter-terrorism and suspects.
“We support this bipartisan legislation introduced in the House of Representatives. We want Congress to move quickly to pass legislation,” said State Department spokesman John Kirby,
VWP is available to 38 countries, mainly American allies and citizens of relatively stable developed democracies.
Many are in Europe, including the home countries of several Paris attackers, including Belgium and France. Also visit: www.zoomproperty.com
Created in 1986 to help facilitate business trips to the United States, the program allows applicants to fill out detailed forms online and pay a small fee instead of applying at a US consulate. -AFP Relaxnews
